Tri-Max (Development of a thermal engine based on the Trilateral Flash Cycle (TFC) for maximizing the conversion efficiency of low-temperature waste heat into electricity)
The proposed project focuses on the development, construction, and experimental evaluation in a real environment of a thermal engine based on the Trilateral Flash Cycle (TFC), with a production capacity of 10-15 kW and low operating temperatures (up to 130°C). The strategic goal is to improve the efficiency of heat-to-electricity conversion by up to 20% compared to the traditional ORC technology, which is almost exclusively used today. The commercial potential concerns the market for low-temperature heat recovery in the industrial and biogas sectors.
